We get it. Visiting a new church is a big step. Let us take a shot at answering any questions you might have before you come to join us. Have a question that isn’t answered below?
Don’t hesitate to drop us a line.
The Basics
Where is City Church NWA located? We're at 203 Park Street, Springdale, Arkansas 72764. We're right in the heart of Downtown Springdale, directly across the street from Luther George Park. We're the large grey-and-black metal building — you can't miss it.
Where do I park? There's a our own free parking lot on the corner of Park and Meadow Streets right next to the building. Plenty of space. Just pull in and walk toward the front doors.
What are your service times? We have two services every Sunday. English service is at 10:00 AM. Spanish service is at 1:00 PM. Both are full services — worship, teaching, the whole thing.
How long is the service? About an hour and 15 minutes. We start on time and we respect your Sunday.
Do I need to call ahead or register before I visit? Nope. Just show up. You're welcome any Sunday. The only exception is for kids check-in — we recommend arriving 10 minutes early your first time so we can get your children set up in our system.
What to Expect
What is the service like? When you walk in, someone will greet you at the door. The service starts with prayer and then live worship music — contemporary, energetic, genuine. After worship have a brief time of announcements and connection then we go right into the sermon. Pastor Chris preaches verse by verse through the Bible, practical and clear. The whole atmosphere is casual and welcoming. No stiff formality. Just real people engaging with God together.
What should I wear? Whatever you're comfortable in. Jeans, t-shirts, casual clothes — that's the norm here. A few people dress up, most don't. We want you focused on what matters, not what you're wearing.
Will I be put on the spot or called out as a visitor? No. We'll never ask guests to stand up, raise their hand, or introduce themselves to the room. You can observe and take it all in at your own pace. If you want to connect with someone, we make it easy. If you just want to slip in and slip out your first time, that's completely fine too.
What kind of music do you play? Contemporary Christian worship. Live band, vocals, modern sound. It's engaging but not overwhelming.
Kids & Family
What do you have for kids? A lot. We have dedicated ministry for every age group during the 10 AM service:
Your kids will be in age-appropriate environments with trained volunteers the entire service.
Is it safe? Yes. We have a secure check-in system. Every child gets a name tag with a unique code that matches a tag given to the parent. Nobody leaves with your child unless they have the matching tag. Volunteers are background-checked.
What if I want to keep my kid with me in the service? That's always an option. Kids are welcome in the main service. Pastor Chris genuinely loves it when babies make noise during the sermon — he's said so publicly. You won't get a look or a whisper. Bring them in.
Do you have anything for teenagers? Yes — City Youth is our student ministry. Check the calendar or contact us for current meeting times and events.
Faith & Beliefs
What do you believe? We believe the Bible is the inspired, authoritative Word of God. We believe in one God who exists as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God — fully God and fully man — who died on the cross for our sins and rose from the dead. We believe salvation comes through faith in Jesus Christ alone. We believe the Holy Spirit is active today, given to every follower of Christ to guide, empower, and transform. We believe the Church exists to make disciples, love people, and serve the world.
What denomination are you? We're an independent, non-denominational church. We don't belong to a denomination. We're simply a Bible-believing, Spirit-led community of people following Jesus together.
Do you have to be a Christian to attend? Absolutely not. We have people at City Church who are exploring faith for the first time, people who grew up in church and walked away, and people who have never set foot in a church before. Everyone is welcome exactly where they are. No prerequisites.
What if I have doubts or questions about faith? Bring them. We're not afraid of hard questions. Faith isn't the absence of doubt — it's trust in spite of it. You'll find honest, thoughtful people here who have wrestled with the same things.
Do you baptize people? Yes. We celebrate water baptism as a public declaration of faith — an outward sign of an inward decision to follow Jesus. If you're interested in being baptized, reach out to us and we'll walk you through it.
Do you take communion? Yes. We celebrate communion regularly as a church. It's open to anyone who has put their faith in Jesus Christ.
Giving & Money
Do I have to give money? No. Offering is a part of our worship as a church family, but it is never expected of guests. Come, experience City Church, meet people, hear the Word — and decide what you think. We'll never pressure you.
How does giving work if I want to participate? We don’t pass an offering plate during the service. You can give online at citynwa.com or in the red box by the door. All giving supports the ministry of City Church NWA — our services, kids programs, outreach, and community work.
Getting Connected
What if I want to get more involved after visiting? We have a clear path for that. It starts with Next Steps — a simple way to learn more about the church, meet the team, and find your place. Visit citynwa.com/next-steps or talk to someone at the welcome area after service.
What other ministries do you have?
Do you have a Spanish-language ministry? Yes. Our Spanish service meets every Sunday at 1:00 PM. It's a full service with its own worship, teaching, and community. City Church NWA en Español exists to help the Spanish-speaking community in Springdale connect to, grow in, and serve God.

At City Church NWA, we believe the Bible is alive and relevant — not just a collection of ancient wisdom but the actual Word of God, speaking directly into your life right now.
Every week Pastor Chris preaches verse by verse through books of the Bible. That's intentional. When you preach through a whole book, you can't skip the hard parts. You can't avoid the passages that challenge you. You get the full picture of what God is saying — not just the highlights.
We also believe context is everything. A verse pulled out of its setting can mean almost anything. So we do the work. We dig into the original language, the culture, the history, the story surrounding the passage — and then we bring it home to where you actually live. Sunday morning isn't a lecture. It's a conversation between ancient Scripture and your real life.
Whether you've been reading the Bible your whole life or you've never opened one, you'll find the teaching at City Church NWA accessible, honest, and worth your time.
